Biography

As an associate professor of mathematics at Université Laval, Damir Kinzebulatov focuses his research on partial differential equations (PDEs) and stochastic singular equations. He is particularly interested in critical-order singularities, which have recently become accessible thanks to new approaches in operator theory and harmonic analysis. These methods, which he develops in collaboration with his co-authors and students, make it possible to explore previously inaccessible mathematical phenomena. He draws a suggestive analogy with elementary particles colliding at high energy in an accelerator: it is the most intense singularities that reveal the deep structure of fundamental operators in mathematical physics.
